Do diabetes patients need counselling?

Diabetes is a very serious long-term disease. Though usually, a disease developed over time due to bad or improper lifestyle and eating habits, diabetes can also be transmitted genetically from one generation to the other.

Type 1 diabetes is the most serious one, while type 2 also causes severe harm to the patient. If not taken care of properly, or in the case of failure to take proper medications at the right time, diabetes can also lead to tissue or organ damage.

Patients more prone to Depression

Research shows that people who are diabetic are in general more prone to depression. Such form of depression usually consists of a bad mood, low energy levels, lack of enthusiasm and other such related symptoms that are visible or invisible in the patient’s behavior.
